Architectural Accessibility Seal

Last Friday, September 3, Japan House São Paulo president, Eric Klug, received from Silvia Grecco, the City of São Paulo Municipal Secretary for Persons with Disabilities (Municipal Department of Persons with Disabilities of the City of São Paulo), the Architectural Accessibility Seal, an important acknowledgment granted by the Permanent Accessibility Committee – CPA that indicates that the building is appropriate for persons with disabilities.

“We work every day to maintain accessibility at our headquarters, in addition to all exhibition content, both on and offline. We know that work on this front is one of constant adaptation, and we are very grateful to be recognized with such a relevant Seal, which attests to the assertiveness of our efforts”, celebrated Eric Klug, during a ceremony held at Japan House São Paulo.

JHSP was also honored by the Department for the work of inclusion presented during the ‘Sports Lounge: Tokyo 2020’ activation. A few steps were covered to earn the Seal, such as an analysis of the process carried out by architects and engineers from the Coordination for Universal Accessibility and Design – CADU, which allows for the granting of the Certificate of Accessibility and leads to the bestowal of the Seal.
