Japan House São Paulo is pleased to announce that Carlos Augusto Roza will take over as President of the institution starting January 13, 2025. Carlos Augusto Roza has served as Vice-President of Japan House São Paulo (JHSP) since March 2017. He has overseen the institution's operations during the president's absence over the past 17 months, beginning in July 2023. He now assumes the presidency of JHSP permanently.

In the year that marks the 130th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Navigation between Brazil and Japan, Carlos Roza takes over with the commitment to continue managing the institution, which has already welcomed almost 4 million visitors since its inauguration, in 2017, and is recognized as an important space for the dissemination of Japanese culture in Brazil.

With over 25 years of experience serving in multinational companies, Carlos holds a degree in Economics and MBAs from FIA/USP and IBMEC São Paulo. Additionally, he has also studied at the University of Cambridge (England), EM Lyon (France), and at Vanderbilt University (United States). He previously worked at the Puratos Group in Brazil, and at Alpargatas S.A., where he was part of the team responsible for the internationalization process of the Havaianas brand.
